About the Position

James Tirecraft is looking for an experienced, organized and customer-focused Front Counter Tire Sales & Service Advisor to join our team in Kelowna.

This is a hybrid position combining tire and wheel sales, customer service, tire-shop coordination, service advising and administrative responsibilities. This isn't simply a counter-sales position. You'll be an important connection between our customers, tire technicians, Heavy-Duty and Automotive departments, suppliers and management.

We're looking for someone who enjoys dealing with customers, knows how to keep a busy day organized, is comfortable selling, and can take ownership of getting things done.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Assisting customers with passenger, light-truck, commercial, agricultural, OTR and specialty tire and wheel requirements
- Answering incoming sales and service calls and assisting walk-in customers
- Recommending tires and wheels based on application, operating conditions, load requirements and customer budget
- Preparing estimates and work orders and explaining pricing, product options and expected completion times
- Scheduling tire appointments and helping coordinate the daily workflow of the tire shop
- Coordinating on-site, agricultural, OTR, commercial and emergency tire service calls
- Following up on tire quotes, sales opportunities and existing customers
- Assisting with commercial and fleet customer relationships and fleet tire inspections
- Ordering tires and wheels and helping maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Processing tire returns, supplier credits and warranty claims
- Processing and following up on national-account transactions
- Supporting our Heavy-Duty and Automotive Service Advisor
- Communicating with technicians, customers and management throughout the day

- Processing completed work orders and customer payments
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required

The position has significant responsibility for coordinating tire-shop workflow, including scheduling work, preparing complete work orders, communicating job requirements to technicians and keeping customers updated as work progresses.

Saturday Responsibility

This position works Tuesday through Saturday.

On Saturdays, you will be the primary Service Advisor and front-counter contact for our Tire, Heavy-Duty and Automotive departments.

You'll be responsible for helping coordinate the day's work, assisting customers, communicating with technicians, preparing estimates and work orders, obtaining customer approvals, processing completed jobs and handling the general operation of the front counter.

What We're Looking For

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be a robust fit:

- Tire sales or tire service
- Automotive or Heavy-Duty service advising
- Automotive or Heavy-Duty parts
- Commercial/fleet service
- Automotive-related sales or customer service

Previous industry experience is preferred, and knowledge of passenger, light-truck, commercial, agricultural, OTR or specialty tires would be an asset. The successful candidate should also have:
- Strong customer-service and sales skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions

- Confidence making customer follow-up and outbound sales calls
- The ability to prepare accurate estimates and work orders
- Basic computer, email, data-entry and point-of-sale skills
- The ability to work independently while being part of a team
- A professional and dependable approach to work

Who Will Do Well in This Position? You'll probably enjoy this job if you're someone who likes a day that moves quickly.

One minute you may be quoting tires, the next you're coordinating a service call, checking product availability, talking with a technician, following up with a fleet customer or helping the service department get a job across the finish line.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership, communicate well and keep things moving without needing to be reminded about every next step.

Why Join James Tirecraft?

We're a locally operated, multi-department service business supporting passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, heavy trucks and trailers.

You'll work alongside an experienced team across our Tire, Heavy-Duty, Automotive and Parts departments. This position offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to build strong long-term relationships with both retail and commercial customers.

If you have industry experience and are looking for a position where you can use your sales, service and organizational skills rather than doing the same thing all day, we'd like to hear from you.
