About Us
Healthspring Wellness is a dedicated health and wellness clinic located in St. Albert, Alberta. We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a warm and welcoming workplace. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a professional, energetic, and organized Full-Time Medical Receptionist to be the face of our clinic and provide exceptional support to our patients and practitioners.
Job Summary
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the primary point of contact for our clinic. Your main role is to create a positive first impression for patients, manage administrative workflows efficiently, and support day-to-day clinical operations. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in/check-out process.
- Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and schedule appointments accurately using Jane App.
- Process patient billings, private/direct insurance claims, and payments (debit, credit) efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting areas.
- Manage patient records, incoming faxes, emails, and direct clinical correspondence to the appropriate practitioners.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize daily scheduling and reduce patient wait times.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and adhere to Alberta HIA (Health Information Act) guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Office Administration (MOA) is highly preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience working as a receptionist or administrative assistant, ideally in a medical, clinical, or wellness setting.
- Proficiency or prior experience with Jane App or standard clinical EMR software is a strong asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
- Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work reliably on a full-time schedule in St. Albert, AB.
