CLOSING SUPERVISOR - FRONT OF HOUSE

General Assembly Pizza is looking for a warm, hospitality-driven Closing Supervisor to lead our evening service and help create the kind of guest experience people want to come back to.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people, supporting a team, and creating a welcoming, well-run restaurant environment from the start of dinner service through close.

Schedule: Approximately 4:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4–5 days per week, including evenings and weekends.

IN THIS ROLE

As Closing Supervisor, you will be one of the key leaders responsible for GA Pizza’s evening dine-in and takeout operations.

You’ll set the tone for the floor, welcome guests, support the team through busy service, and make sure the restaurant feels organized, energetic, and hospitable throughout the evening. You’ll also take ownership of closing the restaurant properly so the next day’s team walks into a space that is clean, stocked, and ready to go.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves hospitality, is comfortable leading from the floor, and wants to continue growing within restaurant operations and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise evening FOH operations, including dine-in and takeout service

Create a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest

Build genuine relationships with regulars and first-time guests alike

Maintain a strong and positive presence on the floor throughout service

Direct, support, and motivate the FOH team while leading by example

Handle guest concerns with warmth, professionalism, and good judgment

Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient, thoughtful service

Complete all end-of-night closing procedures accurately and consistently

Ensure the dining room, bar, service areas, and takeout stations are properly cleaned, stocked, organized, and reset

Complete end-of-day administrative tasks

Identify and communicate operational, staffing,



maintenance, or guest-related issues to management

Coach team members in the moment and help them develop stronger hospitality and service skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous restaurant FOH supervisory or team-lead experience is strongly preferred

You genuinely enjoy hospitality and taking care of people

Confident leading a team independently during evening service

Strong understanding of restaurant service and closing procedures

Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills

Organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership

Personable, and guest-focused

Positive attitude and ability to coach, encourage, and support others

Comfortable working in a quick-paced environment while maintaining composure

Smart Serve Certification

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

The Closing Supervisor needs to be someone the team can rely on, and guests naturally feel comfortable around. You notice when someone needs help, when a table needs attention, when the room needs more energy, or when a teammate needs support.

You’ll balance hospitality with accountability -creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for guests while ensuring standards are maintained, the team is supported, and the restaurant is properly closed each night.

We’re looking for someone who is calm under pressure, generous with their energy, willing to jump in wherever needed, and interested in continuing to grow as a hospitality leader.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
