Reporting to the Hardware Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
1. To come to work with a positive, qualified approach and attitude
2. Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
3. To provide excellent customer service by building trusted relationships with customers through knowledge, guidance and support in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the customer.
4. Train, supervise, and direct the work of team members in the proficient operation of the sales floor (including checkout) and retail systems
5. To develop, with approval from the Hardware Manager, the weekly schedules for the Home Centre Clerk I & IIs and assign work tasks for each shift.
6. Responsible for the opening, closing and ensuring accurate cash ups according to Saskatoon Co-op policies, procedures and standards.
7. To assist in processing customer returns.
8. Provide timely information to the Hardware Manager on the operations of the department.
9. Provide feedback to the Hardware Manager in relation to the creation of team member performance reviews.
10. Responsible for ensuring a clean, neat and well-merchandised Home Centre.
11. To be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op policies and procedures.
12. In collaboration with the Hardware Manager, responsible for ensuring onboarding of new team members is completed.
13. To assist in leading, with the Hardware Manager, the operational meetings with the Home Centre Clerk I & IIs.

Qualifications
- Candidates will have completed their Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must be service oriented, and motivated, and capable of serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Must be well organized, and capable of attaining a high-level of production, with minimum supervision.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of the Retail Controller POS System and the ability to train new cashiers on its operation
- Candidates must be able to supervise, direct and mentor our sales floor team members
- Will have proven knowledge of hardware and related products in order to operate effectively in the department
- Applicants must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. *a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
