About the Role

We are building AI-powered products that help people make better career decisions and navigate the job-search process more effectively.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who can build across the product stack — from user-facing experiences and backend services to databases and AI integrations.

This is a hands-on product engineering role. You do not need to be a machine-learning researcher; we care more about your ability to build reliable, production-ready software using modern AI capabilities.

About the Team

We are a small product and engineering team working closely across product, AI, and software development. Because the team is lean, engineers have direct involvement in both technical decisions and product development, with significant ownership over what they build.

What You’ll Work On

- Build production web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Python
- Integrate LLM APIs from platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google
- Build AI-powered workflows involving structured outputs, tool calling, retrieval, and agent-like behavior
- Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Design features across frontend, backend, data, and AI services
- Improve reliability, performance,



and maintainability of production systems
- Work closely with product to turn user problems into working software

What We’re Looking For

Required

- Approximately 3–4 years of professional software development experience
- Strong professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Solid production experience with React
- Backend experience with Node.js and/or Python
- Experience with APIs and relational and/or document databases
- Experience building and maintaining real production applications
- Ability to work across the stack and understand end-to-end product architecture
- Able to work from our Calgary office four days per week

AI Experience

Hands-on experience building software with modern AI technologies, such as:

- LLM APIs
- Structured outputs and tool/function calling
- Prompt design and evaluation
- RAG / retrieval systems
- Embeddings or vector databases
- AI agents or multi-step workflows

You do not need experience in every area above. Strong software engineering fundamentals remain the priority.

Nice to Have

- Next.js
- PostgreSQL / pgvector
- LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Docker and CI/CD
- SaaS or multi-tenant product experience
- B2B, HR technology, or career technology experience
