Full-Time Long Term Live-In Nanny – Professional Athlete Family

We have a fantastic nannying prospect with a family in inner-city Calgary! The family is seeking an experienced, adaptable, professional and discreet live-in nanny to provide full-time sole-charge care for two young children, ages 15 months and 2.5 years.

This is a unique opportunity and the family is seeking someone who is exceptionally flexible, trustworthy and comfortable with a non-traditional schedule. The ideal candidate will thrive in a household where schedules can change frequently and where flexibility is essential.

About the Position:

Dad shares custody of the children 50/50 and travels frequently for work. When he is in Calgary, he has a demanding training schedule and requires a nanny who can provide reliable, full sole-charge care while he is working and training.

The schedule will vary significantly from week to week. There will be periods with long, intensive days when the family requires substantial support, balanced by days off when care is not needed.

This role is best suited to someone who is highly adaptable, calm, organized, and comfortable working within a dynamic household. Discretion and confidentiality are absolutely essential.

Schedule: Variable, Full-Time Equivalent

- Minimum 175 hours per month, equivalent to a full time position
- Schedule will vary significantly based on the family's needs and dad's training and travel schedule
- Expect a combination of longer, intensive days and multiple days off
- Workdays will often be long, with overtime paid after 12 hours
- Flexibility and availability are essential,



as the schedule will not follow a traditional Monday–Friday structure; expect to work a variety of days of the week and hours
- The family will provide as much advance notice as possible, but the successful candidate must be comfortable with a dynamic and changing schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

- Providing full sole-charge care for two young children
- Managing all aspects of the children's daily routines
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children
- Supporting naps, bedtime, bath time, and other daily routines
- Organizing and attending activities, outings, and appointments
- Children's laundry and keeping children's spaces organized
- Light housekeeping related to the children and household
- Running occasional errands
- Travelling with the family as required
- Maintaining a calm, structured, organized and nurturing home environment

Live-In Arrangement:

This is a live-in position, with room and board provided separate from the nanny’s hourly pay. The nanny will have a private basement bedroom and bathroom, providing a comfortable and separate living space within the home.

Travel Requirement:

Regular travel is required, primarily within Canada and the US. Candidates must hold a valid passport and be comfortable travelling internationally when required.
