EPE is seeking an experienced Engineer for detailed design engineering on utility-scale and distributed energy projects across our growing portfolio, including solar PV, BESS, wind, hybrid power, microgrids, and EV/data center infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems Experience with different aspects of detailed electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, their integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies.
Experience with substation and collection system design reviews Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, which cover layouts, elevations, single-line diagrams, ground grid design, lightning protection, both DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and the organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches, alongside a comprehensive bill of materials. Crafting technical specifications for key electrical components to meet customer needs and adhere to the most recent and relevant standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, transmission and system studies; perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline,
with a minimum of six years of experience in electrical engineering within utilities, energy systems, or renewable energy sectors Demonstrated expertise in a detailed understanding of the analytical tools/software used in the industry. Knowledgeable in industrial standards, codes, and construction practices Strong customer focus, both internal and external. Proactive in learning new technology and engineering knowledge.
