Overview
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and community-minded Fund Development & Community Outreach Coordinator to support and grow our fundraising, sponsorship, communications, and community engagement initiatives. The Fund Developement & Outreach Coordinator is a part-time one year contract position with the possibility of extension.
Duties The Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator will report to the Board of Directors, working directly with the Fund Development Committee. Following a 90-day probationary period, this individual will be one of two part-time employees of the House Youth Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate funding initiatives and events while implementing a pre-established marketing campaign;
- Attend Fund Development Committee meetings, prepare meeting agendas and minutes;
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with corporate and individual sponsors and donors;
- Apply for required licenses and permits for fundraising activities;
- Track donations, donor information, outreach activities, event expenses, and fundraising revenue;
- Seek out and attend fundraising outreach events;
- Develop new fundraisers in conjunction with the Fund Development Committee and communicate proposals to the Board of Directors for approval;
- Communicating with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteer attendance;
- Communicate fundraising initiatives and events to volunteers, youth, families, sponsors, donors, and the general public;
- Interface with community partners to promote the youth centre, including programs, services, and fundraising initiatives;
- Identify opportunities for new community partnerships, sponsorships,
and collaborative initiatives;
- Represent the youth centre professionally within the community;
- Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors
Required Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, community outreach, event coordination, communications, nonprofit work, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with volunteers, staff, committees, and community partners.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
- Must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Working Conditions
- Shared office space with temperature control in the Amherstburg Community Hub building, formerly St. Bernard’s Catholic Elementary School.
- This position has adaptable hybrid work hours; a minimum of 24 hours per work during business hours, with possibility for additional hours on an as-needed basis.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
