Geological Technician – 2 Positions

Location: St. Lawrence, NL

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour shifts (days/nights)

Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc. (CFI) is seeking Two Geological Technicians to join our Geology team at our St. Lawrence operation. This position provides hands-on support with ore management, stockpile monitoring, sampling, geological activities and data entry.

Important: This is not a fly-in/fly-out position. Camp accommodations are not available. Candidates must be able to reliably report to the St. Lawrence worksite for their scheduled rotation.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor ore and stockpiles and collect representative samples.
- Label, organize and track samples.
- Assist Geologists with day-to-day geological and ore management activities.
- Complete accurate data entry and maintain sampling and stockpile records.
- Work with Mine Operations, Laboratory and other departments.
- Follow established sampling, quality control and safety procedures.

Qualifications




- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Geological, Mining or Earth Sciences education is an asset but not required.
- Mining Engineering Technician Program an asset
- Previous mining, geology, laboratory, sampling or industrial experience is an asset.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical sampling duties.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.

Previous geological experience is an asset; however, candidates who are dependable, safety-focused and willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
