For this role as a Chrome Graphics Developer, you will be part of a team based in Montreal working on advancing our graphics stack to support fast and secure rendering for the web platform. Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a secure and secure way.
Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS.
We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Canada: $182000 - $186000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Design and implement improvements across the Chrome graphics pipeline. Investigate and design new features for the WebGPU API and shading language, and contribute to dawn to improve performance and developer experience. Contribute to the ANGLE (Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine) codebase to resolve stateful API and math-heavy bugs.
Lead efforts to mitigate security risks, including memory safety mechanisms in the graphics stack and higher-level mitigations. Partner with the local technical lead to identify work, drive execution across distributed teams, and utilize AI to accelerate engineering productivity.
