Health Care Aides (HCAs) are responsible for the Resident Care Strategy through the provision of care that supports the Residents in being engaged and happy. HCAs assist with personal care, life goals, food service, housekeeping and laundry, and try to make each day special. They encourage Residents to manage their own care as much as possible, and they support the Residents in retaining independence and control over their lives.

The services that an HCA delivers are based on the support a Resident requests, as well as general needs of the team and the Lodge. These services are outlined in a Service Plan and “SeniorCare To-Do Lists”, and are updated on a regular basis.

HCAs, now must be registered and regulated with the College of LPNs and HCAs Alberta (CLHA).

All Health Care Aides must be able to provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector upon hire.

On top of our HCA wages,



is the $2 COVID premium, as well as evening, weekend and night differentials.

Choices in Community Living Inc. does have a communicable disease policy, and proof of current vaccinations will be required upon hire.
