Role Description The Heavy Duty Cleaner is a full-time, on-site role based in Concord, ON. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in production areas, storage rooms, washrooms, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, cleaning walls and fixtures, removing waste, and organizing cleaning supplies.

The Heavy Duty

Cleaner also supports routine deep cleaning of ovens, racks, drains, and other bakery equipment in accordance with safety and food-handling standards. The role requires following established procedures, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and working cooperatively with bakery staff and management.

Qualifications





- Experience with heavy-duty cleaning in industrial, commercial, or food production environments, including floor care and equipment cleaning.
- Knowledge of secure use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in warm or busy production areas.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices; prior experience in a bakery, restaurant, or manufacturing setting is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions, work both independently and as part of a team, and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
- Availability to work full-time, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by production schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous heavy-duty cleaning or janitorial experience is considered an advantage.
