We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Truck Collision Bodyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks that have sustained collision damage. Your expertise will help ensure our fleet is safe, reliable, and looking its best. Responsibilities
- Assess damaged truck bodies and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove dents, replace panels, and realign truck frames
- Perform mechanical repairs related to collision damage, including working with suspension, lighting, and structural components
- Conduct thorough inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large parts and vehicle components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Document repair processes and communicate progress with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience, preferably with heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles
- Strong mechanical knowledge of truck systems, body structures, and collision repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a busy workshop environment
- Prior experience working as a collision bodyman or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Positive communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
