We are looking for an experienced Heavy Truck & Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport trucks, Log trailers, Pickup Trucks and Dump Trucks
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment
- Service and repair firewood processors and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and other equipment issues
- Complete repairs both in the shop and outdoors when required including forestry equipment
- Operate a loader and other equipment when mechanic work is not required
- Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently and prioritize repairs based on operational needs
- Experience ordering parts and keep and maintain supplies
- Must have tools

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a **truck, heavy equipment, or diesel mechanic
- Experience working on Excavator, Dozer, Loader and Firewood processor Transport trucks and Log-trailers
- Must have a licence for 310T license for truck and coach mechanic




- Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulic systems
- Experience working on firewood processors or similar industrial equipment is an asset
- Ability to safely operate a loader
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from work
- Valid G driver's licence, AZ or DZ license would be preferred
