Join our vibrant Japanese restaurant team at located at 3189 Quadra St, Victoria, BC! We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and experienced Hot Food Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase and further develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to authentic Japanese cuisine.Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook hot food menu items (Teriyaki, Tempura, Udon, Ramen, Katsu, etc.) according to SUSHI RU’s recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with kitchen prep work (chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and managing food inventory).
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organized workstation, including commercial kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations with care.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Valid Work Permit, PR, or Citizenship required).
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or Japanese hot food section is strictly required.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive energy, strong teamwork, and effective communication skills.
