Housekeeper - Private Residence Location: Victoria, British Columbia Full-time, 40 hours/week Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 The posted salary range reflects varying levels of experience, from emerging professionals to those with several years of relevant experience. While the full range represents the potential earnings for the role, it is not typical for recent hires to start at the top of the range. Position Overview: We are a private household in Victoria, BC looking for an experienced Housekeeper/Laundry Ninja to join our small team. This full-time, live-out role will work closely with the Household Manager in supporting the seamless operation of a large private residence and additional properties. Work hours are generally between 10am – 6pm Wednesday-Sunday, with some flexibility required.

Candidate Profile: You've got real experience in residential or hospitality housekeeping and know what it takes to keep a home running smoothly. You're detail-oriented, discreet, and good at anticipating what needs to be done before anyone asks. You're comfortable working on your own or alongside team members, and your skills cover laundry care, inventory tracking, property checks, and handling fine art with care.

Strong communication skills and a valid driver's license are a must. You're also comfortable stepping in with simple meals (mostly reheating, from-scratch cooking a bonus) in the occasional absence of our Cook.

Primary Responsibilities: Handle detailed housekeeping duties for the main residence and guest suites,



keeping standards consistent and precise. Support household scheduling, upkeep, and daily readiness as directed by the Household Manager. Prepare the main residence and guest suites for visitors, anticipating their needs.

Handle laundry like a true Laundry Ninja: ironing, pressing, steaming, folding, and stain removal for clothing, linens, and fine fabrics. Keep closets and storage organized, with seasonal rotation and wardrobe management. Track household inventory (linens, bedding, towels, dishware, serving ware, cleaning products, etc.) and communicate replenishment needs to the Household Manager.

Assist with meal planning, prep, serving, and clean-up. Provide meal coverage in the occasional absence of the Cook. Mainly reheating pre-prepared dishes. Ability to cook simple meals from scratch is a bonus.

Coordinate grocery shopping and errands with the Household Manager. Care for indoor plants and liaise with floral vendors. Oversee household garbage, compost, and recycling programs including curbside and off-site drop-offs.

Conduct weekly property inspections and report maintenance needs. Care for fine furnishings, antiques, and artwork using appropriate methods. Help care for household dogs.
