We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and community-minded individual to serve as our Imam, Mosque Operations & Community Engagement Manager. This is a full-time contract position that combines mosque administration, community engagement, youth development, and religious support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the mosque while fostering a welcoming environment for all members of the community.

Key Responsibilities

Mosque Operations & Facility Management

- Oversee the daily operation of the mosque and ensure it remains clean, organized, secure, and welcoming.
- Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements with contractors and volunteers.
- Respond promptly to operational issues and emergencies as they arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of the mosque and identify maintenance or safety concerns before they become larger issues.
- Ensure all mosque spaces are prepared and functioning properly for prayers, classes, events, and community programs.
- Assist the board with implementing operational policies and carrying out administrative initiatives.
- Be available to respond to emergencies outside of regular work hours.

Reception & Community Support

- Maintain consistent office hours at the mosque, with a minimum commitment of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, serving as the primary point of contact for community members, visitors, and stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead community programs, events, and activities outside of regular office hours as required. During periods when no programs or events are scheduled, office hours will be increased to 7 hours per day to fulfill the 35-hour weekly work requirement.
- Welcome visitors and provide information regarding mosque services, programs, and events.
- Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, and electronically.




- Assist community members by directing them to the appropriate resources, board members, or religious personnel when necessary.
- Foster a professional, approachable, and service-oriented atmosphere within the mosque.
- Coordinate and lead events and programming outside of the office hours.
- Be available on weekends when requested, and with special care to be present when programming is taking place.

Youth Development & Community Programming

- Plan, organize, and lead engaging youth initiatives that promote Islamic values and strengthen community involvement.
- Coordinate at least one major youth event every three months, including educational, recreational, or community service programs.
- Organize regular smaller youth activities throughout the year to maintain consistent engagement.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with youth programming.
- Build meaningful relationships with youth and their families while encouraging active participation in mosque life.

Religious Support

- Serve as the mosque’s second imam.
- Lead the five daily prayers as needed.
- Deliver the second Friday (Jumu’ah) khutbah.
- Lead Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan.
- Assist with religious programs and educational activities as assigned.
- Support the mosque’s other imam and board in fulfilling the religious needs of the congregation.
- Participate in the madrasa classes as a teacher.

General Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively with the mosque board, volunteers, and committees.
- Assist with community events and special projects throughout the year.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent Islamic character in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned to support the mission and needs of the mosque.
- Attend monthly board meetings and provide monthly updates to the board on mosque improvements and upcoming programming.

Language Requirements

- Be able to speak English, Arabic, and French to acommodate the needs of the community

Pay: $35,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
