Intermediate, InSAR Geoscientist
About the Role
TRE Altamira is seeking a seasoned InSAR Geoscientist to join our Geospatial Solutions team in Vancouver. In this role, you will leverage Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) data to track millimeter-scale ground movements and apply your knowledge of physical processes to deliver operational insights across mining, civil engineering, oil & gas, and geohazard projects to create value for our clients, which is always top of mind for us.
This position requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, a deep understanding of geophysical processes, highly organized project management, advanced GIS skills, and an Earth Sciences background.

Key Responsibilities
● Deformation Data QC, Analysis & Reporting: Assess remote sensing datasets to monitor subsidence and slope stability, using advanced GIS skills to produce actionable visualizations and high-quality technical documentation.
● Project Management: Simultaneously direct multiple complex projects from inception to delivery, consistently driving on-time execution while exceeding technical standards
● Client Engagement: Act as a technical subject matter expert in meetings and in written communication translating complex geophysical data into actionable reports for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in Earth Sciences, Geological/Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, or other related disciplines with a strong foundation in physical earth processes.
● At least 4 years of full time experience supporting clients and managing multiple projects.
● Technical Proficiency: Proven InSAR knowledge, remote sensing experience, and advanced GIS skills.
● Professionalism & Communication: A track record of managing project lifecycles, high attention to detail, professional presentations and fluency in English for client interactions and report writing.
What Sets You Apart
● Experience with multi-temporal InSAR analysis.
● Prior experience in civil engineering, mining, or oil and gas monitoring.
● Advanced verbal and written communication skills
● Scripting or coding skills for process automation.
