Inside Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Construction Estimating)

Position Overview

RockBottom Underpinning is one of the GTA's leading residential foundation contractors, specializing in basement underpinning, structural modifications, waterproofing, walkout basements, and foundation construction.

We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales & Marketing Coordinator with a strong background in the construction industry. This is not an entry-level sales or marketing position. The successful candidate must understand residential construction, be comfortable reading architectural and structural drawings, and be capable of preparing accurate customer quotations.

This role combines construction estimating, inside sales, customer service, project coordination, and marketing support. You will be responsible for guiding prospective clients through the sales process, preparing quotations, coordinating with our estimating and operations teams, and supporting the company's ongoing marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate is technically minded, highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Primary Responsibilities1. Construction Estimating & Quotations

- Review architectural, structural, engineering, and permit drawings.
- Interpret project scope, specifications, details, and construction requirements.
- Understand foundation construction, underpinning, waterproofing, drainage systems, structural beams, concrete work, and related residential construction methods.
- Prepare accurate customer quotations and project proposals.
- Identify missing information or design conflicts requiring clarification.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, suppliers, and internal project managers when required.
- Maintain estimating documentation and quotation records.
- Assist with pricing updates and cost tracking.

1. Inside Sales & Customer Service

- Respond to inbound web, phone, and referral inquiries.
- Qualify prospective clients based on project scope, budget, location, and schedule.
- Schedule consultations and site visits.
- Prepare and deliver quotations.




- Follow up with customers to answer technical questions and improve conversion rates.
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline.
- Build long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, architects, and industry partners.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.

1. Marketing & Business Development

Working alongside our external marketing agencies, you will help support the company's ongoing marketing initiatives.

Marketing Coordination

- Coordinate with Google Ads, SEO, website, and social media agencies.
- Assist with campaign planning and implementation.
- Monitor marketing performance and lead generation.
- Track marketing budgets and campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate website updates, project photos, customer testimonials, and online reviews.
- Assist with email campaigns, social media content, and promotional initiatives.
- Support community partnerships and industry networking opportunities.

1. Administrative & Operational Support

- Assist the Owner with daily priorities and follow-up.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and customer correspondence.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and reporting.
- Improve office systems and internal workflows.
- Coordinate project documentation and administrative tasks.
- Support communication between sales, operations, suppliers, and customers.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the residential construction industry
- Previous experience preparing construction estimates or quotations
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Architectural drawings
- Structural drawings
- Engineering details
- Permit plans
- Specifications
- Robust understanding of residential construction terminology and methods
- Knowledge of foundations, concrete construction, structural framing, excavation,



waterproofing, drainage systems, and related trades
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional, customer-focused attitude

This is a technical construction sales and estimating position requiring strong construction knowledge, estimating ability, and customer relationship skills.
