The Compliance
Officer role within the Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance requires a proactive approach to market conduct oversight. You will investigate complaints, perform compliance reviews, and monitor adherence to the Care-First framework, playing a crucial role in safeguarding Alberta consumers’ interests. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform insurer compliance examinations as per regulatory demands
- Identify and escalate compliance concerns with supporting analysis
- Address consumer inquiries and financial complaints effectively
- Support Medical Assessments and monitor insurance practices
- Prepare reports and notices for industry stakeholders Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory frameworks
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
