SUMMARY:

- This position reports to the Supervisor or Manager of the department.
- The incumbent ensures that product is run to process and quality as set up and ensures compliance to standard procedure (Shipping procedure, product identification and control of nonconforming product).

ROLE:

- Perform product and process quality audits
- Inspect in-process and final products
- Advise of shortage in materials/goods to be shipped
- Report audit findings using quality documents
- Interpretation of welding procedure data sheets, work instructions, work orders and other manufacturing documents
- Knowledge and application of welding symbols and engineering drawings
- Willingness to do physical, repetitive & detailed work
- Aptitude and potential to develop skills
- Strong work ethic and committed to quality

- Good mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity – ability to use common tools
- Positive interpersonal and communicative skills

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 2 years previous experience in inspection and quality environment
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings and other manufacturing documents
- Must have experience in quality inspection, audit and metal fabrication processes
- Computer skills are an asset
- Require Lift truck license (department dependent)
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
- Fluent in English

VACANCIES: 1 Day Shift – 7:00am – 3:30pm RATE: $24.83

- Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following a 60 working days probationary period
- Shifts may vary
- Shift Premium where applicable
