The Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is looking for a full-time Educational Assistant in High School Specialized Education Programs.

Qualifications

- Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma
- Able to understand/support Social, LA, Math and Scinces Grades 7-12 including 30-1 levels

Requirements

- Able to understand and support students academically in Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts Support students' growth in the areas of cognition, communication, physical and social development
- Support students' growth in the areas of cognition, communication,



physical and social development
- Support and/or implement teacher directed programming
- Work team-oriented under guidance of teacher, CST and other member of the multi-disciplinary team
- Implement behaviour management and educational strategies that facilitate student learning
- Communicate effectively with students using age appropriate positive reinforcements and/or school specific behaviour strategies
- Observe student behaviour with focus on achieving positive behavioural/educational outcomes and mitigate/prevent negative ones
