We're hiring multiple Senior and Intermediate IT/IS consultants to support a multi-year Government of Canada IT and IS professional services engagement in Ottawa, ON.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Work Location: In person

Requirements:

Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Canadian citizen with 10 years' Canadian residency).

Onsite work in Ottawa, ON.

Enterprise Cyber Security:

- Enterprise monitoring & SIEM platforms: Splunk, CA UIM, CA Spectrum, SolarWinds, Logpoint/QRadar
- Experience with windows clusters, directory scans, DNS Response, Exchange, CPU/DISK/Memory, MS SQL, Netapp ontap, VMware.
- SIEM architectures across On-Prem, Cloud, and Hybrid environments.
- Experience in Data migration, mapping, transformation, automation and custom parsing rules and scripting for different log formats and infrastructure logs.
- Experience with different types of endpoints, configuration patching, adding devices, importing MIBS, receiving SNMP traps, integrating net flow data, etc.
- Vulnerability management and threat intelligence, including SIEM/SOAR integration
- Scripting/automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl.

IT Network Services:

- Experience with Network security hardware/software: firewalls, load balancers, proxies, IDS/IPS, URL content filtering, VPN, software-defined networking (SDN) and network access control (NAC).
- Experience with Enterprise Security Solutions: Malware/Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention, web content filtering.
- Patch/update security appliances/servers.
- Experience with Extreme/Avaya Fabric Network and Wide Area Network (WAN) design and deployment.
- High-throughput data flow management via Apache NiFi, including developing and maintaining SIEM dashboards, alerts, and reports to monitor network and CDS health, performance, and security posture.




- Linux and Windows Server administration and security hardening.
- Scripting/automation — Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java scripting.

Data Science:

- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, and prototyping in Python.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets of 2 million or more records.
- Experience creating and implementing algorithms and statistical techniques to resolve data science problems.
- Experience with NLP, computer vision, and/or graph analytics.
- Computer vision algorithms in relation to artificial intelligence.
- Design, creation, and implementation of graph analytics.
- Complex data processing for time-series and patterns-of-life analyses.
- Lead data science initiatives that turn large, complex datasets into products.
- Gather business and functional requirements.
- Design, prototype, and implement algorithms and statistical techniques to resolve data science problems.
- Communicate and present findings clearly to both technical specialists and non-technical audiences.

ServiceNow:

- Platform development: catalogue items, Flow Designer workflows, business rules, and data model configuration.
- Custom scripting in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to extend ServiceNow functionality beyond out-of-the-box capabilities.
- Experience configuring forms, variables, and UI policies for catalogue items (hardware, software, access requests, HR services).
- Integration experience connecting ServiceNow to external systems: procurement, HR, and Active Directory.
- Workflow automation: approvals, notifications, and task assignments for request fulfillment.
- Module setup and configuration, including business rule creation and data model design for current ServiceNow modules.
- Unit, integration, and user-acceptance testing experience.
- ServiceNow System Administration (CSA) certification (required before starting in the role).
