Loopstra Nixon LLP is seeking a responsive, solutions-oriented, and service-focused IT Support professional to join our Information Technology team and provide day-to-day technical support to users across the Firm.

The IT Support role is responsible for delivering timely and effective technical assistance across a range of hardware, software, connectivity, telecommunications, and other technology-related needs. Working closely with the IT team, this position helps ensure our lawyers and staff have reliable access to the technology and systems they need to work effectively.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, providing exceptional internal client service, and working in a fast-paced professional environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting a variety of technical issues, managing competing priorities, and communicating technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Status: Full-time, On-site

Travel: This position requires travel to the Firm's Vaughan office as needed to provide on-site IT support.

What You Will Be Doing

Technical Support

- Provide responsive day-to-day technical support to lawyers, staff, and other end users.

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues.

- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware configuration issues.

- Assist with telecommunications setup, support, and troubleshooting.

- Diagnose and resolve basic network and connectivity issues.

- Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues as appropriate while ensuring timely follow-up with users.

- Provide on-site technical support at the Firm's Vaughan office as required.

Equipment & Systems Support

- Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain computers, peripherals, and other technology equipment.





- Assist with software updates, application deployments, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.

- Support the administration and maintenance of the Firm's internal systems and applications.

- Monitor systems and devices for viruses, spyware, malware, and other unauthorized software, and take appropriate action in accordance with Firm policies.

- Assist with maintaining the Firm's technology assets and equipment across office locations.

User Support & Training

- Deliver professional, courteous, and solutions-focused support to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

- Assist with end-user training on Firm technology, systems, and applications.

- Work collaboratively with other departments to develop or update technology training materials and user resources as required.

- Provide clear guidance to users on technology processes, tools, and best practices.

Documentation & Projects

- Create and maintain documentation relating to IT systems, procedures, configurations, and processes.

- Assist with technology projects, implementations, upgrades, and other departmental initiatives.

- Identify recurring technical issues and opportunities to improve IT processes and the end-user experience.

- Perform other IT-related duties, projects, and assignments as required.

What You Bring

- An interest in technology and a desire to develop your skills and build a career in IT.





- College or university education in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; relevant technical training or experience will also be considered.

- A basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, printers, and common office technology.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn current technologies.

- A customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with users.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

- A collaborative, dependable, and positive approach to your work.

- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

- Ability and willingness to travel between the Firm's Head Office and Vaughan office as required.

- Previous IT support or professional office experience is an asset but is not required.

Compensation & Benefits Loopstra Nixon LLP offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package, including:
