IT Test Automation Dev &

- Perf Tester-L2 (12 month contract)

General Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Test Automation Developer &

- Performance Tester – Level 2 to support the development and implementation of automated testing solutions and performance testing activities for large-scale business applications.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks, execute performance testing, identify system bottlenecks and defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall testing efficiency, system quality, responsiveness, availability, and scalability.

This role is particularly suited to candidates with strong Tosca expertise and functional knowledge of SAP modules and business processes.

Experience &

- Responsibilities

- Minimum six (6) years of experience in test automation development and performance testing, or equivalent experience.

- Plan, identify, implement, demonstrate, and review test automation scripts in collaboration with functional testing teams.

- Work closely with test teams to understand test cases, test data, issues, and opportunities for automation.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and other technical professionals to review requirements, software changes, and non-functional requirements.

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions across various test environments.

- Develop automation scripts in accordance with organizational coding standards and best practices.

- Enhance and maintain automation libraries and frameworks by identifying opportunities where automation can improve testing efficiency.

- Execute performance testing activities to validate the responsiveness, availability, scalability, and performance of business applications.





- Analyze performance results, identify potential bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for system tuning and optimization.

- Utilize monitoring, scripting, and commercial or open-source tools to analyze system and application performance.

- Identify, analyze, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in software applications.

- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to support defect management and resolution.

- Maintain appropriate version control, data management, and documentation for automation scripts.

- Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation capabilities, and overall testing efficiency.

- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.

Education &

- Technical Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- Strong knowledge of software development processes, testing methodologies, and testing tools.

- Hands-on experience with Tosca is strongly preferred and considered a key requirement.

- Functional knowledge of SAP modules and related business processes.

- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test automation development.

- Experience with network analysis and identifying I/O bottlenecks.

- Database performance testing experience is an asset.

- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.

- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.





- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, Xymon, BMC, or similar commercial/open-source solutions.

- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as HP QC/ALM or similar platforms.

- Experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner or similar.

- Advanced scripting/development skills in languages such as C/C , C#, VB, Java, Perl, or Python.

- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Location &

- Work Arrangement

- Fully remote opportunity.

- Candidates may be located anywhere in Canada.

- Must be available to work during PST business hours.

- On-site attendance is not anticipated.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in test automation.

- Strong hands-on experience with Tosca.

- Functional knowledge of SAP modules and related business processes.

- Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions.

- Experience with performance testing and performance analysis.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly within remote teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Experience supporting large enterprise environments.

- Experience with utility, ERP, or SAP transformation projects.

- Database performance testing experience.

- Experience working with large-scale automation frameworks and testing environments.

Additional Information

- Contract extension may be possible for the right candidate.

- Candidates with demonstrated Tosca expertise and SAP exposure will be prioritized, as these are key selection criteria.
