CMHA Kelowna is hiring a full time ClinicalTeam Lead to join the Foundry Kelowna Team. This position offers 37.5 hours per week, with a typical work week of Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with Tuesday and Thursday variations of 9am-5pm or 11am-7pm based on program need.WHO IS A CLINICAL TEAM LEAD?TheClinical Team Lead is a member of the leadership team at Foundry Kelowna andprovides comprehensive clinical support and supervision to clinicians,counsellors, practicum students, and clinical programs operating out of FoundryKelowna. This position involvesoverseeing the facilitation of clinical programs, enhancing the counselling andeducational experiences of team members and practicum students, and ensuringthe delivery of high-quality mental health services.WHAT DOES A CLINICAL TEAM LEAD DO?Supervise and anchor walk-in counselling services, ensuringcomprehensive initial assessments for clients and intersession supportProvide ongoing clinical consultation and support to clinical staffwithin Foundry KelownaSupport the practicum student program at Foundry Kelowna throughinterviewing, training, supervising, and overseeing the learning goals ofpracticum students.Facilitate Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Intervention trainingfor each cohort of studentsDevelop and supervise psycho education programming for young people atFoundry KelownaProvide clinical support to all CMHA Kelowna & District Branchprograms as requiredCollaborate on the development, management, and provision of allclinical services and programs of CMHA Kelowna & District BranchContribute to the development and revision of clinical policies andproceduresContribute to community partner meetings to discuss program updates andreferral processes as required by managementParticipate in the recruitment and selection of clinical employees andpracticum studentsProvide guidance andclinical mentorship to support the educational goals of students in post‑secondary Master’s programsaligned with registered practice standards.Build and maintain relationships with community partners, includinghealthcare providers, schools, and social service agenciesCoordinate with local and provincial clinical working groups, attendingmeetings as requiredPerforms other related duties asassignedQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counselling requiredMinimum 3 years’ experience working in clinical counselling1-2 years supervisory experienceRegistration in applicable field (ie: BCCSW, BCACC, CCC)Experience working with youth, young adults and/or families/caregiversis requiredReliable vehicle and the ability to travel between facilities and otherlocations on an occasional basisValid Class 5 BC driver’s licenseCriminal Record Check clearance in the Vulnerable SectorCertificates in FirstAid, CPR and Naloxone considered an assetStrong communicationskills, both written and verbalAbility to buildrapport with youth, families, and community partnersUnderstanding of andcommitment to treating young people with mental health andsubstance use challengesAbility to mentor andsupport students as a practicum advisorAbility to maintainconsistent professional boundariesExperience inassessing and treating young people with mental health challengesProficient inMicrosoft Outlook, Word and ExcelProficient in mentalhealth assessments, psycho-education, and short-term intervention strategiesFamiliarity withcommunity resources and mental health service pathwaysExperience in usingElectronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (TELUS CHR preferred)Solid attention todetail and analytical skills for assessing client needs and developingeffective treatment plansConflict resolutionand crisis intervention skills when dealing with staff and clientsAbility to adapt to changingenvironments and manage ambiguity in clinical settingsAbility to be regularly exposed to individuals who are struggling withand/or recovering from trauma, drug/alcohol use, homelessness, mental healthchallenges and/or mental illnessWHO IS CMHA KELOWNA?At CMHA Kelowna,we are dedicated to Mental Health in our community.
