The role involves validating complex datasets, ensuring compliance, collaborating with stakeholders, and leading QA efforts in a highly controlled, regulatory-driven environment.Typical Day in Role:Perform end-to-end QA and data validation for Banking and Capital Calculations regulatory reporting systemsValidate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for Basel III and OSFI regulatory reports including BCAR, NCR, Pillar III and LRRDevelop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex financial and regulatory datasetsPerform data-level QA using complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target mappings and calculationsCollaborate with business analysts, regulatory SMEs, data engineers, and developers to understand regulatory logic and testing requirementsIdentify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring regulatory complianceParticipate in regulatory audits, reviews,



and validation exercisesAutomate regression and data validation tests using Python-based frameworks (where applicable)Leverage automation tools and GitHub Copilot to improve QA productivity and coverage.Ensure alignment with data governance, controls, and regulatory change management processesMostly an automation-based role.Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:10+ years’ experience in QA/testing/automation, with at least 8+ years within Banking or Capital Calculations8+ years’ strong hands‑on experience with Basel III regulatory reportingStrong understanding of financial products, risk metrics, and regulatory calculations3+ years’ extensive experience in data-centric QA automation and validation5+ years’ advanced SQL experience (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance tuning)Nice-To-Have Skills:Experience as a QA Lead – having led at least 1 automation projectStrong experience validating large regulatory and financial datasetsAbility to automate QA testing using PythonExperience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and automationDefect tracking and test management tools (e.G., JIRA, ALM)Soft Skills Required:Strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy,
