Purpose The Journeyperson Electrician supports the production and installation of electrical systems used in Sky Eye's projects. This role is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality work while collaborating closely with Electrical, Mechanical, and Welding teams. The position also plays an important role in mentoring apprentices and supporting continuous improvement within the shop.

Responsibilities

- Review project drawings, schedules, and requirements with the E&I; Manager at project kickoff
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure all necessary materials are available
- Develop and maintain project material lists and BOMs
- Communicate job expectations, timelines, and project updates to team members
- Collaborate with other trades to support efficient project execution
- Provide daily progress updates to the E&I; Manager
- Monitor schedules and communicate potential delays or concerns
- Ensure all deficiencies are completed prior to shipment
- Coordinate inspections and support inspectors as required
- Complete all quality control documentation and redlines
- Ensure project materials are returned and accounted for after completion
- Participate in project close-out and lessons-learned meetings
- Mentor apprentices and support the development of new team members

Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and company procedures
- Participate in hazard assessments, inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Promote safe work practices and proper use of tools and PPE
- Lead by example and encourage a strong culture of safety
- Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Support continuous improvement in workplace safety
