Caroline and Aschaber LLP is a partnership formed by four Chartered Professional Accountants passionate about accounting. Our focus is on owner-managed businesses, professional corporations and farms, as well as specializing in auditing and assurance engagements. Caroline and Aschaber LLP opened its doors in Collingwood, ON in 2020 with plans to continue growing and serving the greater south Georgian Bay area, now including a secondary location in Thornbury, ON.

You can provide candid counsel on a wide range of issues, including bookkeeping, tax, complex accounting, and more. About the Position

Summary of Responsibilities
- Completion of compilation engagements and T2s
- Completion of personal tax returns
- Perform light bookkeeping and reconciliations of investment accounts
- Preparation of regular external filings such as HST and responding to CRA review requests.
- Supervised preparation and review of working paper files, financial statements and income tax returns for compilation engagements
- Identifying issues and errors, investigating discrepancies, discussing with managers, and developing solutions to resolve the errors
- Responding to requests and correcting errors identified by managers, senior managers, associates or partners in a timely manner
- Effective communication with our clients, partners, and staff
Summary of Experience
- Preferred 1 Co-Op term experience related to accounting and assurance
- 1 year of customer service experience
Requirements:
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Experience using QuickBooks, CaseWare, CCH iFirm and/or TaxPrep
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- High attention to detail
- Strong initiative skills and eagerness to learn
- Previous experience working in a public accounting firm is considered a strong asset.

Job Details
- Hours of Work:
37.5 hours per week; the role requires overtime as necessary to meet operational and professional requirements.
- Location: Hybrid work arrangement at our office located at 173 Ste. Marie Street, Collingwood ON
- Salary Range: $50,000- $55,000
- Compensation placement will be based on depth of experience, demonstrated skill set, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
