DescriptionReporting to the Supervisor, Procurement, the Project Buyer is a site-basedrole responsible for executing the timely and effective procurement ofmaterials, equipment, and services to support project activities andday-to-day requirements. This role operates independently with minimalguidance in a rapid-paced, demanding project environment and requires strongjudgement, fully developed knowledge, responsiveness, and practicalprocurement experience, with a focus on securing the best overall valuefor Ledcor and its clients.Essential ResponsibilitiesExecutes end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment, and services alignedwith specific procurement plans required for the project applying best practice.Ensures purchasing decisions balance price, delivery timelines, quality andsupplier reliability to support the construction schedule.Collaborates and aligns with the Shared Procurement team by activelycommunicating project requirements, supplier insights and procurement activity,leveraging corporate agreements, tools and expertise to support consistentpractices and maximize value across the organization.Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and Project Controlsto align procurement strategies with project priorities.Proactively identifies risks to material availability within the projectscope, advises and takes actions according to established procurement plans,policies and supplier agreements to avoid delays, escalating issues asrequired.Serves as a resource for colleagues.Creates and manages purchase orders and change orders to support on-siteproject requirements ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance withprocurement policies.Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as AP to resolve complexsupplier,



commercial and invoicing issues quickly.Builds and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers toensure reliable supply and responsiveness.Identifies alternative suppliers when required to support project needs.Ensures procurement activities follow company and client requirements.Identifies and escalates project level risks that could impact cost,schedule or delivery. Advises the business and project team on recommendedsolutions based on established practices.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of on-site procurement experience in industrialconstruction or similar project environments.Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure, site-basedroles.Experience supporting large-scale construction or industrial projects.Strong understanding of procurement processes and commercial practices.Experience with industrial construction materials and equipment.Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent requests.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a site environment.Experience with procurement systems (Coupa, JD Edwards, Smart Materials orsimilar).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.Working ConditionsThis is a site-based 14x7 rotational position based out of Logan Lake, BC.Compensation$78,800.00 - $108,350.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
