Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Earth Resources Technician with experience in construction materials inspection and testing to join our Petrographic Lab Materials Team in Burlington, ON.
Candidates will be required to obtain appropriate certifications for advanced materials inspection and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with company safety and quality policies and procedures;
- Sample preparation and organization;
- Laboratory testing using test methods such as CSA, ASTM, OPSS for soils, aggregates, concrete and construction materials;
- Field materials investigation survey and testing;
- Use of analytical equipment;
- Report preparation;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Skills / Qualifications
- Skills / Qualifications
- Diploma in related field of Earth Resources or Materials Engineering Technology;
- Previous materials testing experience;
- Available for field work;
- Willingness to travel for work at remote project sites, work overtime;
- High attention to detail and organization skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- CCIL Aggregate Type C, Type D certification considered an asset;
CCIL Concrete Type Q, Type R, and Type S certification considered an asset.
