Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented Junior Health and Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols across our Drilling Operations. Your proactive approach will help foster a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.

Duties

- Support the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for staff at all levels
- Conduct routine safety inspections of underground work area, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards
- Assist in investigating incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, documenting findings thoroughly
- Help maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies




- Promote a culture of safety awareness through communication campaigns and team engagement activities
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives

Skills

- Basic understanding of mining processes and workplace safety standards
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to promote safety initiatives
- Control and management of the safety, health, environmental and quality aspects of the site operations
- Implement and maintain system for SHEQ
- Advise and provide guidance to management on SHEQ related matters
- Reduce risks across the SHEQ related fields
- Ensure a satisfactory service is rendered to the client based on internal, client and legal requirements

Pay: $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
