Pacific Spirit School is seeking a full time kindegarten-grade 1 classroom teacher with a child-centred and play based approach for a small class of 12-16 students.

*Teacher for K-1 split-grade classroom of 12-16 students

*Play-based and inquiry-based approaches needed

*Adaptable, child-centred educator would be a outstanding fit in this role

*Neuro-affirming approach and experience with neurodiverse learners necessary

*Attachment-based educational approach is foundational

*Strong early literacy and numeracy education skills

*Joy and skill in working with primary age students

*Able to incorporate outdoor time into every day

*Work collaboratively with a team of educators

*Welcome parents as collaborators in their children’s education

*A small, close-knit school population (approximately 65 students K-12 this fall)





*Valid BC Teaching Certification required

*Full time is four days per week M-Th 8:30am - 4:30pm at Pacific Spirit School

Pay: $52,000-$66,000 annual salary (Mon-Thur - 4 days/wk) dependent upon experience and fit,

Expected hours: 8:30-4:30 Mon-Thur plus school special events
