About Pixel Homes
Pixel Home Improvement Solutions is a growing Calgary-based renovation company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms and complete home transformations. As an emerging name in Calgary’s renovation industry, we are building our reputation through thoughtful design, practical renovation solutions, transparent communication and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
We provide a coordinated renovation experience—from the initial consultation and design development through material selections, construction and final handover. As our project portfolio and client base continue to grow, we are expanding our team with professionals who share our commitment to quality, accountability and excellent customer service.
About the Position
We are looking for a confident, knowledgeable and sales-driven Renovation Designer & Sales Consultant to support our continued growth.
This is not a design-only position. It combines renovation design, in-home consultations, client relationship management and sales.
The successful candidate will connect with new leads, understand their renovation requirements, develop practical design solutions, present recommendations and quotations, and confidently guide clients toward making informed renovation decisions.
The candidate must be comfortable meeting homeowners in their homes, discussing budgets, addressing concerns, following up consistently, identifying appropriate upgrade opportunities and representing Pixel Homes professionally throughout the sales and design process.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and connect with new renovation leads through telephone, text message, email and other company-approved communication channels
- Qualify leads by determining their renovation needs, budget, timeline, property details and decision-making process
- Schedule and conduct in-home sales and design consultations throughout Calgary and surrounding communities
- Build trust with homeowners and clearly explain Pixel Homes’ services, processes, materials, timelines and value
- Measure kitchens, bathrooms and other renovation areas accurately
- Develop functional and visually appealing layouts, concepts and 3D renderings
- Prepare and present design concepts, material recommendations, scopes of work and renovation proposals
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients and convert qualified leads into signed renovation projects
- Maintain accurate records of leads, appointments, quotations, follow-ups and sales progress
- Identify suitable opportunities to upsell cabinetry features, countertops, storage solutions, lighting, flooring, fixtures, finishes and other renovation upgrades
- Help clients make practical decisions that fit their style, lifestyle, budget and project requirements
- Accompany clients to approved supplier showrooms and outlets for cabinet, countertop, flooring, tile, plumbing-fixture and finish selections
- Prepare clear material-selection and specification documents for the operations and project-management team
- Coordinate with suppliers, estimators, tradespeople and Pixel Homes’ operations team
- Review designs for constructability, measurements, clearances, appliance requirements and practical site limitations
- Identify potential design or construction challenges and develop practical solutions before work begins
- Provide complete and accurate project handovers after a contract is signed
- Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the pre-construction and selection stages
- Represent Pixel Homes professionally at supplier meetings, networking opportunities, project tours and promotional events
- Participate in company photography, educational videos, project walkthroughs and social-media content when required
- Remain informed about current renovation products, materials, design trends and industry practices
- Protect company pricing, client information, lead data and other confidential business information
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in renovation sales, kitchen and bathroom design, cabinetry sales, interior design, home-improvement sales or a closely related field
- Demonstrated ability to convert qualified leads into sales
- Strong knowledge of kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures and complete home-renovation processes
- Experience conducting in-home consultations and presenting proposals directly to homeowners
- Robust understanding of kitchen layouts, cabinet construction, measurements, clearances, storage solutions and appliance integration
- Working knowledge of design software such as Mozaik, SketchUp, 2020 Design, AutoCAD or comparable kitchen and interior-design programs
- Ability to create clear layouts, presentations and realistic design renderings
- Strong sales, negotiation, follow-up and objection-handling abilities
- Ability to recognize and present appropriate upselling opportunities without using high-pressure tactics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and confident presentation style
- Strong organizational, time-management and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented, accountable and capable of managing multiple leads and active design files
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership of client concerns
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with operations, suppliers and trades
- Comfortable representing Pixel Homes publicly and participating in branded photo or video content
- Proficiency with email, digital calendars, spreadsheets, CRM systems and general office software
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle and ability to travel throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend consultations based on client requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate or degree in interior design, kitchen and bath design, architectural technology or a related discipline
- Experience selling complete kitchen, bathroom, basement or whole-home renovation projects
- Existing portfolio of kitchen, bathroom or residential renovation designs
- Experience preparing scopes of work, quotations and material-specification packages
- Familiarity with Calgary-area suppliers, products and renovation-market expectations
- Experience working with contractors, cabinet manufacturers, countertop fabricators and construction trades
- Experience appearing in social-media content or presenting educational design information on camera
Compensation This is a salary-plus-commission position.
- Base salary of $40,000–$50,000 annually
