- Ensure the facility is cleaned to the ASCHA Lodge Minimum Standards of Operation.
- Daily cleaning of resident rooms including bed-making, linen and towel changing.
- The cleanliness of all common areas and flooring
- Annual cleaning of all rooms and common areas.
- Outside parameter cleaning include but not limited to windows, gazebo areas, entrance way.
- Sorting and completion of laundry.
- Assist as needed to shampoo carpets/furniture if a resident has been incontinent.
- Assist with and attend special events.
- Ensuring that cleaning equipment is kept in positive working order.
- Daily water temperatures done weekly to coincide with room cleaning..
- Responsible for the daily/weekly clearing, cleaning and setting up of the dining room and staff room.
- Responsible to serve meals in a polite and professional manner.
- Responsible for the daily/Weekly food preparation and clean-up duties in the kitchen as scheduled and directed by the Resident service Manager.
- Responsible for the set-up, delivery, and clean-up of the coffee area at tenants; tea and coffee times.
- Reports any unsafe work conditions to the Resident Service Manager.
- Responsible to assist with the receiving and stocking of all food, non-food supplies and chemicals.
QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to work independently, or as a team member, and be able to meet deadlines.
Must possess a high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.
Must have a flexible, willing, and positive attitude.
Must have good organizational skills.
Must have good communication skills – both oral and written.
Previous experience is essential. A minimum one (1) years’ experience in service industry.
Must have the ability to relate well with seniors.
Must have WHMIS, First Aid and Food Handling Course or willing to obtain.
Must be willing to work on weekends, holidays and perform rotational Shift Work (Day and Night)
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
· Will be exposed to corrosive and non-corrosive materials.
· Will be required to frequently bend and stretch.
· Will be required to pull, push, and lift furniture.
· Will be required to operate heavy cleaning equipment.
