Senior Requirements EngineerDate:15 May 2026Location:Toronto, ON, CACompany:AlstomCould you be the Senior Requirements Engineer we’re looking for?Join us in a full-time role based at any of ourOntario locations (Toronto, Mississauga, Thunder Bay, Brampton)or at ourSt-Bruno office on Montreal’s South Shore .All About YouSenior Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with minimum 6 years rolling stock experience, with understanding and experience in services contract execution. Technical knowledge of Alstom rolling stock required as review and approval of designs and proposal to the customer are part of regular job duties. Customer facing work includes presentation of concepts through power points and good oral communication skills are required to explain Alstom's position to the customer.Understanding of Alstom processes such as DFQ, Doc Tech, GSI processes a must.Your Future RoleTechnical ResponsibilitiesPerforming technical requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, then the developed requirements allocation to the various subsystemsEnsuring consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems has been confirmed and documented,Writing sub-system specification (TPS) and, if needed sub-system architecture descriptions for procurement or development.Complete Requirements Management interfaces (DOORS) and Contract Deliverables as per CDRL lists.Driving technical relationships with suppliers and customer.



Evaluate risks & validation (including internal Design Reviews)Lead and/or participate in technical meetings with customer in to provide technical direction.Testing and Validation ResponsibilitiesDefining and performing Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers, Certification & Validation teams and Participating Units.Verifying the System requirements definition and System Architecture design with all necessary verification means, including modelling and simulation meansParticipating to Train Lab activities in support of Train Validation and TestingPrepare or evaluate test specificationsEnsuring the train integration and tuning.Supporting Train validation in the execution of static and dynamic tests.Quality and Compliance ResponsibilitiesApplying the rules and process as defined by Engineering Metier Department.Performing reporting at project level and metier level (via weekly reports and KPIs)Implementation and update Engineering risks mitigation plan.Providing Return on Experience (RoE to the relevant Engineering Metier Authority for the sake of continous improvementCompensationThe expected compensation for this role is $92,000 – $121,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
