Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role is responsible for leading the shipping and receiving department in all aspects of inventory management. The Team Leader will train and lead others in receiving, transacting, delivering, and shipping products and components of a basic to advanced complexity. The Team Lead will participate in and/or lead project teams tasked with process improvement, problem resolution, and lean initiatives.As a Team Leader you willProvide hands on leadership to assigned area team communicating daily schedule, goals, performance, and team member assignmentsAssist with supervisory tasks and employee performance evaluations with support of area supervisorPerform process audits, safety sweeps, and employee training (including TWI) as requiredReview area 6S, tools, fixtures, and material availability dailyAccountable for performance of assigned areaAssist in resolution of issues found with inventory, materials, tools, BOMs, or supplier/supply chain items affecting assigned areaAct as liaison between manufacturing, supply chain, and shipping to ensure on time deliveryGenerate non-conformance reports for any material, manufacturing, quality, or design issues uncoveredPerform hands on direct labor and other functions within the group to maintain flow of work in an effective manner to ensure on‑time completionAssist in coordination of any non‑conforming product within assigned areaSupport continuous improvement projects within assigned area or other areas of expertise as requiredAssist in identification and correction of safety improvement activitiesActs as a backup for all Health & Safety responsibilities when supervisor is not presentWe are looking for someone who has3-5 years’ experience performing work in a manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma or GEDMust have a Forklift LicenseAbility to influence others to foster ideas and continuous improvementMust have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and coordinate activities within a department comprised of diverse tasks and demanding schedules.Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, schematicsAbility to facilitate trainingMust have intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel and Experience using an ERP system desirableDemonstrated ability to problem solve including use of corrective and preventive actionsAbility to safely use hand tools and perform production assembly processesPossesses thorough understanding of standard production processesWe prefer someone who hasExperience leading a teamTechnical College/University degree completed or in processShiftThis is a day shift position running Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPhysical Demands/Working ConditionsLifting DemandsLift up to 35 lbs on an occasional basis floor to waistLift up to 35 lbs on a frequent basis floor to chestCarry up to 35 lbs on an occasional basis up to 25 feetPush/pull up to 100 lbs on an occasional basisPostural DemandsWalking – frequentLifting – frequentVariable hand/power tool use – frequentTwo-person lifting tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including hand trucks, pallet jacks,
