Engineering Technician IVAssists in the design, management, and construction of municipal sanitary sewer, potable water, and storm drainage systems within the Water Resources Division. Works under the guidance of professional engineers and is responsible for a range of tasks from concept to construction completion.ResponsibilitiesProject scoping, preparing designs or managing designs prepared by consultants, and delivering projects from the concept phase through to construction completion.Providing technical support to internal construction crews and liaising with/making recommendations to the Engineering of Record regarding field design changes.Responding to public inquiries.Performing technical support tasks as directed by professional engineers.QualificationsTwo-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized institution or a university degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years experience.Minimum 5 years of directly related experience (or eligible for registration as an Engineer‑In‑Training with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC).Eligibility for registration as an AScT with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians BC.Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.Strong communication skills, organization, and willingness to learn.Employment DetailsMonday to Friday 8:30 a.M. to 4:30 p.M. (35 hours per week) with participation in the district’s modified work week program. Flexible working hours and remote work are available subject to operational needs.Salary: $51.28 per hour (2026 rates) with an excellent benefits package.This position is a C.U.P.E.
