We are seeking a skilled 310T / 310S Diesel Mechanic to join an established fleet in Rexdale, Ontario. This role is perfect for a certified technician with a strong background in diesel mechanics. Techs with a valid Ontario 310T or 310S Certificate of Qualification are highly encouraged to apply.Duties & Responsibilities:Diagnose malfunctions and perform comprehensive vehicle repairs, including adjustments and tests on various systems like steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and more.Conduct test drives to verify the resolution of repair issues.Ensure all major repairs receive appropriate inspections and approvals before vehicles are released from the maintenance facility.Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace in compliance with all relevant regulations.Identify and report any additional maintenance or repairs discovered during assigned tasks.Record time spent, parts used,



and details of repairs and maintenance conducted on the appropriate forms.Communicate with the Lead Technician about any unsafe maintenance conditions or practices and potential vehicle abuse.Handle road calls and on-the-road repairs as needed.Requirements:3+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, including repair and engine rebuilds on diesel trucks or buses, in a fast-paced workplace.Must possess a valid Ontario 310T or 310S Certificate of Qualification.Proficiency in computerized diagnostics and general shop computer usage.Experience with purchasing and budget management in a fleet maintenance context.Excellent computer skills, particularly with Word and Excel.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Good organizational skills are advantageous.#HJ1 Compensation:$41 to $42.48/hr based on experience.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, holiday pay, PTO accrual, and retirement savings plan.Shifts:Day Shift - Monday to FridayOvertime Available!#J-18808-Ljbffr
