Job Title: Lead Podcast Producer & Video Editor

Position Type: Contract (Project-Based, Approx. 4 Episodes per month)

Compensation: $300 – $450 per finished episode (Paid per delivered episode master)

Project Scope: 29 episodes currently slated for production (Total contract value: $8,700 – $13,050).

Structure: Initial 2-episode paid trial, transitioning directly into an ongoing weekly production cadence for the remaining 27 episodes upon mutual fit.

Location: Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Podcast Producer & Video Editor to oversee the production, creative direction, and technical execution of an ongoing podcast solo series.

This role requires a blend of high-level creative leadership, precise technical execution, and rigorous attention to detail under tight deadlines. As the Lead Podcast Producer, you will collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape the series' identity, manage the production timeline, ensure storytelling excellence, and submit deliverables on time. As the Video Editor, you will hold ultimate responsibility for episode design, pacing, and overall visual and acoustic polish.

With multiple projects currently in our development pipeline, this initial contract offers significant potential to evolve into a long-term, multi-series partnership for the right professional.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction

- Story Architecture: Partner with the creator to conceptualize, structure, and refine the narrative arc of the series (episodes will average approximately 30–45 minutes of finished audio & video).
- Project Management: Develop and maintain a rigorous production schedule, ensuring all episodes move seamlessly from pre-production through final master.
- Content Integrity: Review scripts, outlines, and raw recordings to ensure high-impact pacing, emotional resonance,



and consistent thematic alignment.

Audio Engineering, Colour Grading & Editing

- Dialogue Editing: Execute high-level dialogue cleaning, removing distracting artifacts, filler words, and pacing gaps while maintaining natural conversational flow suitable for video Podcasting.
- Sound Design & Scoring: Select, license, and implement music and sound effects that elevate the production value and reinforce the tone of the series.
- Mixing & Mastering: Deliver broadcast-ready, industry-standard audio tracks optimized for all major podcast platforms, ensuring impeccable loudness compliance (LUFS), clarity, and balance.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Proven Track Record: A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in video podcast production, audio engineering, or video editing, with a portfolio that demonstrates narrative sophistication and technical excellence. Be prepared to provide references.
- Advanced Technical Skill: Mastery of industry-standard editing software and
- Digital Audio Workstations, specifically: DaVinci Resolve.
- Creative Instincts: A sophisticated understanding of pacing, story structure, and how audio and video manipulation can enhance listener engagement.
- Skilled Communication: Exceptional collaborative skills, with the ability to translate high-level creative feedback into actionable production changes.
- Reliability & Autonomy: Strong project management skills,



with a proven ability to self-manage and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
- Subscription & Platform Strategy: Experience packaging and staging exclusive subscriber content (e.g., bonus cuts, early access, ad-free feeds) for platforms like Patreon, Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, and YouTube. Experience creating seamless workflows between main feed releases and paid feeds is an asset.
