Museum/Fort Whoop-Up LabourerThe Galt Museum & Archives is accepting applications for a casual, non‑permanent term position of Museum/Fort Whoop-Up Labourer. The role will last approximately 18 weeks, from May 10 to September 10, 2021, and will involve 0 to 37.5 hours per week.Provide grounds and landscape labour‑er support to Fort Whoop‑Up and Galt display areas.Care for plants and materials in outdoor presentation and exhibit areas, working with volunteers, community members, City departments and partnering societies.Spend time outdoors mending, grooming and creating spaces and materials for visitors to enjoy.Work with volunteers and staff to deliver effective displays and equipment telling the history of southwestern Alberta at Fort Whoop‑Up.Assist with other functions as required, exercising imagination, cooperation, initiative, and consideration of museum visitors’ interests.Skills and QualificationsHigh‑school education with background in landscaping, horticulture, carpentry, maintenance, or similar skills.



A valid Class 5 Operator’s licence and a current First Aid Certificate are required.
