Lead Release Engineer/Manager

Job Title: Release Lead – BBHub Platform

Role Summary The Release Lead will be responsible for end-to-end release management for the BBHub platform, covering release planning, deployment coordination, production change governance, and risk management. This role is critical to maintaining operational stability, meeting delivery commitments, and ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory requirements across all releases.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Execution

Define and maintain the release calendar / roadmap for the BBHub platform, aligning with business priorities and delivery timelines

Coordinate release scope, sequencing, and dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams

Own the end-to-end release lifecycle — from planning through go-live and post-release validation

Production Change Governance

Lead and manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process for production changes

Ensure all changes follow defined governance frameworks, approval workflows, and audit trail requirements

Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory/compliance mandates applicable to the platform

Deployment Coordination

Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to plan and execute deployments

Manage deployment schedules, environment readiness, and rollback plans

Act as the single point of coordination during release windows,



including go/no-go decisions

Risk Management

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases and production changes

Maintain risk registers and escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner

Develop and maintain contingency and rollback plans for high-risk deployments

Stakeholder Engagement

- Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related communication across business, technical, and leadership stakeholders
- Provide regular status updates, release notes, and post-implementation reports
- Facilitate release readiness reviews and post-mortem sessions
- Required Skills & Experience
- 6–7 years of experience as a Release Manager/Lead, preferably in a banking, fintech, or regulated workplace (BBHub platform experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of release management, change management ( ITIL ), and production governance frameworks
- Experience with CAB processes, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD coordination
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
- Strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities
- Familiarity with regulatory/compliance requirements relevant to the platform's domain
- Experience with release management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent)
- Prior experience coordinating cross-functional teams and mentoring junior team members is a plus
