Responsibilities

- Proofread and review legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency before filing or submission
- Schedule appointments, mediations, meetings, and court appearances for lawyers
- Manage project timelines by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and organizing case files
- Perform data entry tasks with precision to ensure all case information is accurately recorded in relevant databases
- Maintain organized filing systems for physical and electronic documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with confidentiality standards




- Handle clerical duties including answering phones with professional etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
- Manage monthly billing, including collecting retainers from clients

Qualifications

- 2+ years experience in administrative roles within a legal or professional setting
- Strong proofreading skills coupled with excellent writing abilities for drafting memos, summaries, and legal correspondence
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Clio an asset
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently
- Knowledge of legal drafting standards, data entry procedures, filing protocols, and phone etiquette
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
