CLK 12R - Customer Service Representative - Amended - (123617)Salary Range: $57,699.62 - $65,135.07 annuallyClose Date: 6/3/2026The TeamYou’ll be joining the In‑Person Services Team – as a Customer Service Representative at an established Service Delivery office. You’ll handle tasks such as data entry, reviewing applications, processing payments, and offering solutions that follow government guidelines. We are committed to providing “Service with Heart” to everyone we serve.QualificationsEducation and Experience RequirementsGrade 12 graduation or equivalent (such as B.C. Adult Graduation Diploma [BCAGD], G.E.D., etc.).Experience providing inclusive customer service to a diverse clientele.Experience delivering service excellence in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment, through in‑person, virtual technologies and telephone interactions.Experience using digital applications/databases to search for and record information.Experience in word processing/data entry and using computer applications such as MS Word,
Outlook and Excel.Preferred QualificationsExperience with conflict resolution and de‑escalating emotionally charged situations.Experience providing services to clients experiencing poverty, substance use, and/or mental health concerns.Experience maintaining administrative files and record keeping.Experience delivering service in a regulated and/or legislated public service sector environment (such as municipal, provincial, federal), while following processes and procedures.Customer service training and/or certification.Experience handling financial transactions from the general public (such as payment processing, cash handling).Additional years of experience in any of the above requirements and/or preferences.Willingness StatementsWillingness to travel occasionally to provide relief coverage to other work sites (Service BC centres, exam locations, etc.).About this PositionThere are currently five permanent full‑time positions available – two in Cranbrook, one in Creston, and two in Fernie/Sparwood. These positions have full‑time in‑office requirements. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
