Role Description The Licensed Wealth Planning Associate is a full-time, in office role based in the downtown Vancouver. This role supports a wealth management team by preparing and analyzing comprehensive financial plans, including retirement, estate, tax, and cash flow strategies tailored to clients’ goals.
The associate collaborates with advisors to review client portfolios, assess investment recommendations, and prepare presentations and reports that help clients understand their financial options. Daily responsibilities include gathering and validating client information, using financial planning software, monitoring plan implementation,
and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining regular communication with clients and internal partners, coordinating client meetings, and contributing to a professional, client-centered service experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong financial planning skills, including experience with retirement, estate, tax, and cash flow planning.
- Candidates should possess solid finance and investments knowledge, with the ability to interpret market information and apply investment concepts to client portfolios.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Candidates should possess robust analytical skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with numerical data and planning tools.
- Relevant securities and/or wealth management licensing required or in progress (e.g., Canadian securities licensing or equivalent), along with post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- Strong client service orientation, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Proficiency with financial planning software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM systems is an asset.
- Professional integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and commitment to regulatory and compliance standards.
