Summer Student Coordinator: Child and Family Well-BeingCompetition #26-24Job Location:Moose Factory, ONPosition Summary:Under the general supervision of the Band Representative Coordinator, the Summer Student Coordinator will lead the team of summer students for the Child & Family Well-Being Department. The Summer Student Coordinator will assist with client support, community outreach, program planning, and administrative duties. The coordinator shall assist with setting up and supporting reunification activities for children and families. This position offers valuable hands‑on experience in the social services field.Qualifications/Requirements:Post Secondary Enrollment for 2025–2026-year, completion of Post Secondary or enrolled for the next year.Experience in the social work field is an asset.Basic understanding of social work principles, ethics, and professional standards.Awareness of social issues such as poverty, mental health, family dynamics, and systemic inequities.Understanding of confidentiality, privacy legislation and trauma‑informed practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Organizational and time management skills for balancing multiple tasks.Ability to take initiative while also seeking guidance when needed.Competency in basic computer applications (e.G., MS Word, Excel, email, and case management software).Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries.Ability to observe, reflect,
