Qualifications and Certifications:Bachelor degree in Social Work or Human Services.Completion of Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to obtain.Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.Current Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain.Experience and Skilled Knowledge RequirementsPossess a minimum of three (3) years of prior related experience in the field of social or human services.Previous experience working with vulnerable people considered an asset.Possess valid Safe Food Handling certificate.Ability to network with community resources and build solid relationship.Ability to conduct public speaking at meeting within the community.Ability to lift a minimum of 25 poundsPossess valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.E., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check with vulnerable sector screening.Skills and CapabilitiesPossess excellent problem solving, communication (written and oral in English) and organizational skills.Possess experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Possess previous experience in development and implementation of community programsPossess a positive attitude and works well with other team members, volunteers and donors.To maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to clientele and staff of The Salvation Army.Compensation:The target hiring range for this position is $23.10 to $28.88 with a maximum of $34.65.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.The Salvation Army will provide reasonable accommodation upon request.
