About Fuwa Fuwa

Fuwa Fuwa is known for our signature Japanese soufflé pancakes, specialty drinks, and Japanese-inspired café menu. We’re looking for energetic, dependable, and team-oriented individuals who take pride in excellent food, great service, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

This is a cross-trained Front and Back of House position. Team members will support both food preparation and customer service depending on the needs of the shift.

What You’ll Do

Kitchen & Food Preparation

- Prepare menu items according to Fuwa Fuwa recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Cook and assemble pancakes, savoury dishes, and other menu items accurately and efficiently.
- Complete daily food preparation, stocking, and station setup.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, portion control, and waste.
- Support opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning procedures.
- Work with the team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Cashier & Guest Service
- Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders accurately using the POS system.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Answer basic menu questions and help guests with their selections.
- Package takeout and delivery orders accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and service stations.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Help create a positive and memorable Fuwa Fuwa guest experience.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to follow recipes, procedures, and operational standards consistently.
- Willing to learn and work across both Front and Back of House positions.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
- Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service periods.
- Restaurant, café, kitchen, or customer-service experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive kitchen and service tasks.
- Ability to safely lift and carry restaurant supplies and ingredients.
- Comfortable working around hot cooking equipment and in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
