The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:Provide project management and engineering support for surface water projects and designs, for both private and public clients. Projects may include hydraulic structures outfalls, stormwater management facilities, weirs), bank protection, LID, master drainage plans, asset management, flood assessment and mitigation.Complete asset management studies and inventories for municipal clientsConduct occasional inspection on construction projects and provide construction administration services for a variety of infrastructure projectsManage a variety of projects for a diverse group of clients, including budget/cost control; schedule tracking;and client managementComplete materials and quantity calculations and prepare tender documentsReview and authorize design drawings, including Issued for Tender/Construction drawing setsCollaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team on river process‑related projects including subwatershed studies and environmental assessmentsDirect and support field data collection exercises as well as data synthesis/analysisProvide technical support and mentoring to junior team membersWork with regulatory agencies and clients to address project‑specific challengesPrepare technical reports, specifications, and work plansSupport business development initiatives including drafting proposalsBuild strong client relationships and liaise with stakeholdersOccasional travel within Ontario and to other Montrose locations to support projects or business development initiativesActively participate in Montrose’s strong Health and Safety cultureWhat We Are Looking For10+ years of experience in water resource engineering, specifically related to the design, construction, and project management of water resources projectsProfessional Engineer designation with PEO is requiredBachelor’s degree in Civil/Water Resources/Environmental Engineering, or related field.Experience with stormwater management,



civil engineering and land development design is a requirementExperience in writing technical reports and proposals, and giving presentations to multi‑stakeholder groupsAbility to effectively manage projects of various sizes and complexity simultaneouslyExperience with asset management, climate risk assessments and Environmental Assessments is an assetKnowledge of current regulations, legislation and permittingExperience with design and drafting software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD would be an assetSelf‑motivated individual, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skillsA valid Class G driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record.Why Choose Montrose?At Montrose you will be part of an amazing community of collaborative people who live shared mission and principles and bring industry‑leading technical expertise to their work every day.
