Instructor – Insulator Apprenticeship ProgramWe are seeking experienced industry professionals to serve as instructors in NAIT’s Insulator Apprenticeship program.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging and comprehensive courses.Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams.Provide students with timely and constructive feedback. Ability to submit marks/records promptly.Provide direct classroom/lab instruction while utilizing appropriate instructional strategies to maximize student motivation and learning in a skill‑building environment.Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students and colleagues.Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.Stay current with industry trends and integrate relevant information into the curriculum.Skills & AbilitiesHave an interest in creating and implementing creative modes of course delivery.Be energetic in leading and motivating students.Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.Have well‑developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.Be committed to student motivation, achievement, and quality service.Have a strong orientation to student success and satisfaction.Be empathetic to student needs.Be able to work effectively in a team environment.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams).QualificationsMinimum 5 years experience in the trade.Commercial and industrial experience an asset.Supervisory experience considered an asset.Asbestos knowledge is considered an asset.Remuneration & ClassificationSalary will be commensurate with education and experience, plus a comprehensive advantages package.Salary range: $69,189.78 – $120,361.23.Classification: Instructor.This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Associate (NASA) Collective Agreement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
